That's beautiful, and a reminder that making a difference transcends race, religoin, creed. I was also struck by the variety of causes and how the thing is to pick somehting and start. I'm working on plans for doingjust that this year.
Way to go COTW. I'm starting to work on some things too. the only thing is that I don't want to jump too deep into too many things before I decide what I want to really dedicate my time too. I think I will try to just generally help out while I spend more time deciding where I can best put in my energy and time... I would hate to come across something really terrific in one month or two where my specific talents/energy/personality would be most helpful, and then find that I had no time because I'm doing a tiny bit here, a tiny bit there, all adding up to no time left, and yet making no difference in reality...
